[ Unit Project 1 ] Proof of my growth and memories

My artifact is cork board for posting photos. I’ve been using it for two years and it is important things for me. This is made of wood. It's made of hard wood, so I can put lots of photos on it or stick thumbtacks into it. I have attached seven photos, but it is large enough to hold about 10 photos. I'm displaying it near the door in my room. There are my favorite photos, so I often see it when I want to encourage myself.

There are some photos when I was an elementary school, junior high school, and high school student. I like mini basketball team's photo and the photo I took with my elementary school teacher when I graduated from elementary school and when I was in my third year of high school. I can see how I have changed over the past 6 years in these two photos. I also have some keychains on cork board. The yellow uniform keychain in the middle of the cork board is the uniform of my favorite professional basketball player. Also, the keychain you see in the lower left was a gift from my older sister, and the one in the lower right is my favorite one that I wore in my backpack when I was in high school.

Last year, I had the opportunity to meet an elementary school teacher for the first time in a long time. When we got together in my third year of high school, I said,

"Do you remember me?"

"Of course!"

The teacher replied. I was so happy that he remembered me so well after 6 years. I like the teacher very much because the teacher was always kind and funny, so he was popular teacher then. When I graduated from elementary school, I gave the teacher a handkerchief as a present.

"Thank you for past two years." I spoke.

I still remember how happy my teacher was. My mother was also loved the teacher. This photo is also my favorite photos because it's a photo that shows my growth.

However, my mother often tells me.

" It hasn't changed since elementary school."

That means my face hasn't change. I was shocked when I heard that because when I look at those photos, I feel like I've grown. I expected my mother to tell me how I had grown up, so I felt a little angry at my mother, but I accepted. This cork board cheers me up because the photos displayed here are photos that show good memories and the hard work that I have put in. I was looking at this corkboard during the difficult time of preparing for university entrance exams.  A key chain which is given me from my sister, parents, and teacher is also displayed here. For this reason, this corkboard is filled with my good thoughts from when I was little until now.

Displaying photos has a great cultural and social impact. You can quickly revisit your memories. Many people in Japan like taking pictures when they go trip and do family events. It has the effect of helping you remember and cherish memories with your family.  It is also said that photographs create love and are good for children's growth. I and my family displayed many photos in house and own room, it brings back good memories.

Moreover, these days, most people have photos on their smartphones, so there may be few people who keep their precious photos with them compared to the past. My mother used to print out photos after taking photos, but she doesn't do that anymore. The number of photos we take has increased, but we rarely print them. Furthermore, another big point is that young people edit the photos they take. After processing, the photo will be different from original one, so for young people, this behavior has become commonplace. There are several benefits to having printed photos. For example, you can communicate through photos, and you can keep it with you forever. Sometimes I want people to find important photos instead of looking at them on their smartphones or editing them.

  3. Hi I'm Satoka. I thought that the fact that the photos were displayed around me reminded me of the old days. In addition, I thought that the photos that had been processed were certainly different from the real.

Troubled day

Hi! I’m Haruna. Thank you for coming my blog page.    On Tuesday, I had a ploblem during my part-time job. Two chinese women came to the store around 8pm. They spoke to me in Chinese while using a translation app on their smartphones. However, I couldn't understand Chinese they spoke at all, so I was confused. There was another ploblem. They wanted to send packages from convenience store, but they didn't have the packages they wanted to send. In the end, I couldn't understand their request, so I just handed over the slip and they left the store.    At that time, I thought it would be cool if I could speak a little Chinese. I plan to choose Korean from my second year, but I'm starting to think that Chinese would be good too. What second foreign language will you take? I ate miso ramen last week.

Happy New Year

Hi! I'm Haruna. Thank you for coming my blog page! Although some bad things happened in the new year, I wish you all the best this year. I ate soba at Kojimaya. It was so delicious. Did you all eat soba on the New Year's Eve? I went to 2nd year visit and drew a fortune. I was disappointed that the results weren't very good, but I played hard. I want to try something new this year.

A good day

Hi! I'm Haruna. Thank you for coming my blog page!     I'd like to introduce the dinner I had this week. I went to a reataurant called "Gyutan Keyaki". I had the beeh tongue set meal. The beef tongue was soft and very delicious. I want to go to there again! Christmas and winter break are almost here! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
